Easyflex Cased Mount isolators consist of high deflection, color-coded stable springs assembled into telescopic cast iron housings which are complete with square cell noise isolation elastomeric pad bonded to the lower and upper load surface and with an adjusting and leveling bolt with a lock nut as a part assembly. Slots are provided in bottom plate in all isolators for bolting to the structure.

Vibration isolators shall be housed springs and shall consist of a steel spring and load cap housed in a cast semi-steel or aluminum assembly, with sponge neoprene snubbers designed to stabilize the isolators and prevent metal-to-metal connection of top and bottom housing sections. The top housing section shall be drilled and tapped and shall include a steel load transfer plate, leveling bolt, and locknut. The bottom housing section shall be bonded to a 1/4 in. (6 mm) thick ribbed neoprene noise isolation pad and shall be slotted to allow bolting to the supporting structure.

Spring elements shall have a lateral stiffness greater than 1.0 times the rated vertical stiffness and shall be designed to provide a minimum of 50% overload capacity.

Springs shall be selected to provide operating static deflections shown on the vibration isolation schedule or as indicated on the project documents. Springs shall be color-coded or otherwise identified to indicate load capacity.

Vibration isolators shall be model EFCS as manufactured by Kanwal Industrial Corporation.

Easyflex Model EFTR Thrust Restraints are used to counteract the discharge force created by fans during operation. EFTR Thrust Restraints are used in pairs and best utilized when located on the centerline of the discharge outlet of the fan, bridging the flexible duct connector.

Easyflex Model EFTR Thrust Restraints consist of high deflection, large diameter, laterally stable steel coil springs assembled into a threaded rod and bracket assembly. The coil spring have a lateral spring stiff-ness greater than 1.0 times the rated vertical stiffness to assure coil minimum of 50% overload deflection capability to solid. The coil springs are epoxy powder coated for corrosion protection. EFTR Thrust Restraints feature molded neoprene end load plate assemblies. EFTR Thrust Restraints include threaded adjustment rod with hardware, fan and ductwork mounting bracket angles, bracket back-up plates, and all attachment hardware.

Easyflex OS type spring vibration isolator is designed to minimize vibration and noise transmission from floor mounted equipment. It has a bottom plate with two fixing holes to secure the spring isolator to the structure. The rubber pad under the bottom plate eliminates high-frequency vibrations. Vibration isolation is achieved by free standing laterally stable steel springs. Springs are designed with 50% overload capacity and the lateral spring stiffness is greater than the vertical stiffness to assure seismic stability. All springs are colour coded for easy identification.

Easyflex EFCUS Type Spring Isolators are highly effective for control of both high and low frequency vibration produced by reciprocating air or refrigeration compressors, pumps, packaged air handling and air conditioning equipment, centrifugal and axial fans, internal combustion engines, etc. The Type Spring Isolators are free standing and laterally stable spring isolators. The coils are designed with an excellent ratio between the coil outer diameter and operating height, ensuring lateral stability. In all of our designs, this ratio is a minimum of 0.80 and many of our springs have approximately a 1:1 ratio. In addition, our coils are designed with low operating stresses, thus ensuring a long operating life for the isolator. The EFCUS Type Spring Isolators also feature weldless construction. The spring coils are not welded to steel plates. Instead, the EFCUS Type Spring Isolators are assembled to elastomeric cups and steel plate bases with two mounting holes for attachment to structure – providing durability and flexibility. The series also include a built-in leveling device for simplified installation. The product incorporates a color-coded steel spring for ease of identification and inspection in the field. All of our open spring isolators have leveling capability and include a bolt hole in the bottom cup.

Reciprocating machinery creates large vibration forces which frequently require isolation from the surrounding building structure. Large forces or doubtful machine stability may require the use of an inertia block of steel or concrete to provide low dynamic amplitude on the machine whilst providing a stable and stiff base which may be supported by steel springs or other resilient devices. Many applications will operate quite satisfactorily with only an undamped steel spring support, but where system resonances may be excited to unacceptable amplitude due to the varying speed of the machine or transient conditions, damping must be incorporated.

Reciprocating machinery creates large vibration forces which frequently require isolation from the surrounding building structure. Large forces or doubtful machine stability may require the use of an inertia block of steel or concrete to provide low dynamic amplitude on the machine whilst providing a stable and stiff base which may be supported by steel springs or other resilient devices. Many applications will operate quite satisfactorily with only an undamped steel spring support, but where system resonances may be excited to unacceptable amplitude due to the varying speed of the machine or transient conditions, damping must be incorporated.

Our range of steel springs and damper units for the support of machines are as diverse as laboratory balances and turbo generator sets. Although standard components are used, each system is individuality designed and analysed to ensure that the correct stiffness and masses are provided to permit proper operation of the mounted equipment. First introduced over 40 years ago, these systems are now used world over.

Easyflex EFSRH type vibration hanger is designed to minimize vibration and noise transmission from suspended equipment and services. Spring design compensates for up to 15° rod misalignment in any direction. The hangers have welded steel housing and a rubber element which is loaded under shear allowing for increased strain, and deterioration is minimized. All springs and rubber inserts are colour coded for easy identification.

Vibration isolation is achieved by free standing laterally stable steel springs. Springs are designed with 50% overload capacity and the lateral spring stiffness is greater than the vertical stiffness to assure seismic stability. All springs are colour coded for easy identification.
